Drawing is for the painter Adrien-Angelo Bastien, the base, the pivot of all the other Visual Arts.
This exhibition consists of studies of the natural, vegetable-themed. We found in these drawings, reminiscent of certain Nordic masters (Schongauer, Dürer, Van Leyden..). The mysterious atmosphere that emerges from all these works allows us to guess the harsh Baroque style that pervades all the work of Adrien.
In these drawings appears the idea according to which the beauty is also in the natural elements more humble that surround us. They have a structure, an order, both physical and symbolic, that the painter tries to point out through his work. It is not therefore a sample of virtuosity, less still, realism, sterile, but a constant search, which aims to bring us to the invisible thing, suggested through the veil of the visible.
